Staff gave great directions as we got a little lost on our way there and had to ring them for help. Very friendly and pleasant staff in the hotel.
Hotel on website advised that it had been updated with flat screen tvs installed, our room did have a lovely new tv but I wouldve preferred a comfy new mattress to sleep on rather than a shiny new tv. Also water supply seemed to fade if everyone was using the water at the same time. First morning the hotel was busy and water trickled out from the showerhead. Second morning wasnt so busy and shower worked perfectly.

It's practical with exceptionally comfortable beds and lovely views. The location is good, plus there was a free parking. A characterful base for our weekend, would stay here again.

Staff were extremely friendly and was in an ideal location for our trip to Ellesmere port which was only £7 in a taxi.
Rooms are in need of upgrading to a modern and contemporary standard in upkeeping with other hotels we have stayed in.

Comfortable clean rooms with flat creen TV, quiet surroundings, easy access to Chester
Restaurant food and organisation on Easter Monday did not meet expectations, ran out of food and little communication to diners so I had to complain. Breakfast cost was refunded.

Excellent breakfast, bar and restaurant good. Decent 3* accommodation with no nonsense
Although there was a lift, there are also stairs to reach most upstairs rooms - we were on second floor with a pushchair which was a bit tricky
